Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Some state laws, like Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law, protect information that could reveal something about your health. Because Work Worry-Free is about disability benefits, we treat the information below as consumer health data everywhere, not just in those states.

What health-related information we collect

  • That you, or someone you help, receives SSDI or SSI disability benefits, and details you enter about them (benefit type, trial months, whether Social Security considers you blind, student status).
  • Work expenses related to a disability (IRWE), if you enter them.
  • Social Security letters you save, and photos of them.

We collect it only from you (or a helper you share with), and only to provide what you ask for: estimates, reminders, records and your proof packet. We do not collect diagnoses, and the accessibility answers you give during setup stay on your phone.

Who we share it with

We do not sell consumer health data and never share it for advertising. It is disclosed only:

  • to people you choose to share with in the app (helpers);
  • to our service providers that process it for us under contract (Railway for hosting and storage in the United States; Anthropic only for pay stub photos you scan), as described in our privacy policy;
  • when the law requires it.

Your consent and your rights

The app asks for your consent before you set it up and before you turn on cloud backup. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or turning off backup. You have the right to:

  • confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data (we never sell it), and get a copy of it and a list of everyone we've shared it with;
  • have it deleted (Me → Sign-in & security → Delete my account, or email us);
  • withdraw your consent.

Email hello@workworryfree.com. We'll respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying, and we'll answer within 45 days; you can also contact the Washington State Attorney General (or your own state's attorney general).
